Can I use other fruits instead of blueberries?
Absolutely! You can substitute blueberries with other fruits like strawberries, raspberries, or mixed berries. Adjust the sweetness according to your taste preferences.
What type of non-dairy milk works best?
Any nondairy milk, such as almond, soy, oat, or coconut milk, can be used. Each type of milk imparts a slightly different flavor and texture to your smoothie bowl, so feel free to experiment with your favorite.
I love making my own soy milk, but oat milk is quick and easy to make. Plus, if you use rolled oats, it’s the cheapest milk you can make.
Is it necessary to add cardamom?
Cardamom is optional but highly recommended. It complements the blueberries wonderfully, adding a unique and delightful flavor to your smoothie bowl.
How do I store leftovers?
Any leftover smoothie bowl can be stored in a Ninja Creami pint container in the freezer. Just remember to smooth the top to make it flat.
When you’re ready to enjoy it again, re-blend using the Ninja Creami’s smoothie or sorbet button to make it creamy.

I followed the recipe pretty much as is – oat milk, banana, blueberries, kale, rolled oats, cardamom and the two dates. Pretty purple color! It was delicious and super fun to eat “nice cream” for breakfast. 😋
