Here’s a super easy recipe for homemade counter cleaner. I go through a ton of it. First, I migrated to a pre-made concentrate, and now I make a fresh batch in less time than it would take me to walk to my car.
Let me know your favorite homemade cleaner so I can add it to my cleaning army!
DIY Counter Cleaner
You can customize this with any essential oil that you have on hand. Note: DO NOT use vinegar cleaners on marble or natural stone counters as it will damage them.
- 1 cup white vinegar
- 1 cup water
- 10 to 20 drops your favorite essential oil or oils
- (I used Now's Cheer Up Buttercup (amzn.to/2jBk5em), but any citrus would work great)
- 1 glass spray bottle
- Add everything to your glass spray bottle, put the sprayer on extra tight and shake.
- You will need to shake well each time before using because it will separate.
- When you spray you will still smell some vinegar, but as it evaporates the smell goes away.
If you’re an existing Grove Collaborative customer, you can still get a bonus during this promotion. Click to get a free Walnut Cellulose Scrubber Sponge added to your next order.
They’re perfect for scrubbing sinks and grout, but they work equally well in the kitchen. When they need refreshing, just put a drop of orange essential oil (or your favorite scent) on them and toss them in the dishwasher. They come out smelling sanitized, fresh and clean!
