The name is a tad misleading because there is so much more than my normal oatmeal recipes inside. There are the expected warm oatmeal and refrigerator oats and smoothies for year around breakfast. However, included in the cookbook are recipes for Steel-cut Oat Sausage Crumbles, Oat Yogurt, Oat Dosas, creamy soups, stir-frys and tons more.
The photo above is of Indian-Spiced Tomato Soup and the oat flat bread (roti). An easy meal of soup made creamy with pureed oats that are cooked with the soup.
You can see the Stir-Fried Veggie Oats above which is a great way to use up little bits of veggies you have hanging out in your fridge. Like all of my recipes, you can tweak them to use what you have on hand.
I’ll be showing off more of Kate Lewis’ beautiful photos from the book until it releases in September.
There’s a big multi-blogger giveaway starting on July 28. I will have more info and a way to enter on the blog that day. Not only will you be entering to win a copy of OATrageous but all the OXO goodies pictured above!
What’s your favorite oat recipe?
