Love Your Oatmeal Week

I’m officially declaring next week “Love Your Oatmeal Week”. After all oatmeal does for me, I need to show a little appreciation. And I will finally take another picture of my oatmeal so you don’t have to see this one everyday.

I’m definitely making Almond Joy oatmeal and possibly gingerbread oatmeal too. Anyone have any requests or ideas? I’m only making sweet ones this time. I’ll post all the recipes on the blog if they are successful. I’ll be making them in the slow cooker of course!

  2. I’m looking forward to seeing your Gingerbread Oatmeal…mmMMmmm!!

    For ideas…hmm…what about a French Toast inspired oatmeal? Serve with a dollop of syrup, a sprinkling of icing sugar…hmm. I bet you a chocolate orange flavour (<–yes, I'm from Canada and we use our "u" in a lot of words!)would be AMAZING! Strawberry Shortcake…oh my. I do believe I could go on. And on. And on…!

  3. i have a 5 qt crock and 3 older teenagers at home. do you know if this would work if i doubled or tripled the recipe?? and would it be for the same amount of time? thanks ahead of time!!!

      It should work, but you may have to play with adding more water and/or cooking for less time depending on how hot your slow cooker is. To be safe I’d add an extra cup of liquid the first time you cook it. You can always cook it more, but once it’s too done there’s no going back. I hope that helps!
